
St. Martin's Island is a small island in the northeast part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula, and forming the southernmost part of Bangladesh.
On the way from Teknaf to St. Martin's when you will reach Naf river some large hills of Myanmar will come into view. St Martin's is the only coral island in Bangladesh. Those who have visited this island once say it's like a paradise to them. The local people named it Narikel Jinjira (Coconut Island) because of lots of coconut tress. You can reach on foot another coral paradise chera dwip, the end of the island that separtes from St. Martin's during high tide.
No place can be better than St. Martin to experience the beauties of nature. It's the perfect place to hide yourself from the daily boring and mechanical life and to rejuvenate youself. It is highly recommanded that you travel this land by foot, othetwise miss lots of things. It's a small island, you can cover it by 3-4 hours on foot. Totaly white sandy beach, deep blue water, count less cocunat tree, dry fresh prosses center and lots of attaractions are awiting to receive you. At night you can treat yourself with fresh delicious lobster. Overnight staying in St. Martins Island is really an exotic feeling where you will feel and listen the sound of Sea. You can also have a rare view of laying eggs by turtles that nest on the island. If you are lucky enough then you can spend the exotic moonlit night at St. Martins Island. The stunning beauty of Full moon in St. Martin's Island cannot be expressed, you can just feel it.
Transport:
You can take bus or plane from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, about 400 km from Dhaka, and then catching a bus to Teknaf, which is another 100 km away. From Teknaf, ferries run daily to Saint Martin's. It takes around 3 hours to reach the island. Currently, three shipping liners run daily trips to the island. They are Kutubdia, Sea-Truck and Keary-Sindbad. Besides, the longest sea-beach, Cox's Bazar, it is also filled with lots of other stunning places. Near to this sea-beach, there are lots of other places available to enjoy the beauty of the whole Cox's Bazar. For example, Himchari, Ramu, Sonadia Island, and so on.
Cox's bazar is very quickly becoming a well visited tourist spot for Bangladesh and during the months of September and October the beach can get very crowded. Usually hotel walk-ins are almost hard to find, specially the ones which are closest to the beach.

Located at a distance of 152 km. south of Chittagong, the leading seaport of Bangladesh, Cox's Bazar is well connected both by air and road from Dhaka and Chittagong.
